Amy Kear - March 2 - FINAL FRIDAY MARCH 30 5 TO 9

HeArt and Soul is a collection of paintings exploring the human spirit. They are made with paint, makeup, feathers, sequins, t-shirts, and broken glass.
Amy has always been an artist at heart, but until the birth of her son, she was utilizing her social work background by counseling and teaching inmates in Phoenix jails/prisons. She hasn’t taken any art classes, so this is coming from raw material and lots of heart.
She loves trying to put her favorite things into her art- music, fashion, color/makeup, and inspirational quotes/words. She hopes someone recognizes themselves in these paintings and realizes they aren’t alone in the roller coaster called “life”.
Several of her paintings represent the Law of Attraction (The Law of Attraction states: I attract to myself whatever I give my focus, attention, or energy to; whether wanted or unwanted).
Amy’s work illustrates the spiritual journey taken as human beings through life experiences, such as grief, happiness, despair, and love. No one is exempt from suffering in the world, but painful experiences help one grow stronger.
Her first paintings were heavily lined in black with vibrant colors inspired by her favorite clothing designer, Emilio Pucci. Amy has found art to be a creative way to express emotions and to evoke powerful images. She credits her son Evan for allowing the “birth” of her creativity to come forth. http://www.kwch.com/videogallery/68670936/News/shopkeeper's-gallery#pl-62811834
